About Us
M contemporary is located in the ground floor parlors of one of the identical townhouses built in the 1830’s known as The Thirteen Sisters or Julia Row in the heart of the Arts District also known as the Warehouse District. It is my second venture into the art gallery world after 25 years of having a successful gallery in Santa Fe. I decided to return home to New Orleans. The strong cultural ties and the new vibrancy of New Orleans was irresistible. This incarnation is somewhat different. I am continuing to represent two of my favorite artists, James Strombotne and George Alexander with whom I have an over 20 year relationship. My roster is a small group of regionally and nationally recognized artists, both emerging and established; artists whose work is united by the use of rich complex color, technical excellence and a strong individual point of view and signature. A very select collection of Tribal art which I assembled in Santa Fe is also offered.
M contemporary reflects the rich gumbo of New Orleans.
